In honor of International Women’s Month, we are excited to announce the launch of a very special, limited-edition bracelet collection that celebrates the legacy of Frida Kahlo, one of the most iconic female artists and inspirational change makers in history.
Who is Frida Kahlo?
Frida Kahlo lived life to its fullest in the most passionate of ways. Born in Mexico in 1907, she is the most important Mexican painter of all time whose iconic existence, unique expression and extraordinary artwork left behind a legacy that will forever impact and influence the world regardless of age, gender, nationality and ethnicity.
In Frida’s younger years, she suffered many physical hardships. At the age of 6 she became disabled by polio, and by the age of 18 was left bedridden after a near death bus accident. Instead of letting this trauma limit her, she channeled it into self-portrait paintings, allowing her canvas to serve as an outlet for her to express her emotions and physical insecurities. She fueled her personal struggles into works of art that allowed her to rebuild self-confidence within herself.
Frida Kahlo is not only a famous artist, she is one of the most inspirational female change makers in history. She is a warrior in both life and art. Her legacy has paved the way for women around the world to develop a purpose within their insecurities and channel their personal struggles into self-confidence. Kahlo encourages us all to step outside of our comfort zones and to think and be different.
We are honored to have partnered with the Frida Kahlo Corporation on this iconic collection that represents the legacy of Frida. When wearing this limited-edition bracelet collection, we hope you will be reminded of the strength we all have within ourselves to overcome adversity and channel it into passion and empowerment.
We are all Frida.
