I want to thank all of the fans who bravely shared their thoughts during our Facebook discussion last week. I’m appreciative of your willingness to discuss these topics, especially on an open forum. Anxiety was a topic mentioned quite a bit, which I believe is a direct reflection of human consciousness. Let's explore this topic more closely.
_____
As I discuss my experiences with powering through anxiety, I want to be clear that it is not something to be taken lightly. So many people, young and old alike, bravely face anxiety every day, even when they’re feeling like they want to shut down. Anxiety has many faces, and it looks different on everybody - like a pair of jeans. It can stem from numerous places, making it a difficult experience to talk about because it is so personal.
One of the biggest ways I’ve seen anxiety start knocking, however, is when someone is faced with power. Whether it is stepping into your own power or being met with a powerful force, anxiety is there. I am a firm believer that human beings are evolving right now. 2017 showed us so many things that were going on in the dark and brought them all to light. It may look like the state of the world is worse, but it is in fact the opposite.
It’s not like these things were not going on before, we are just now able to see it - a sign of evolution. This was showing us what we need to heal and fix in order to grow. Just as in your own personal life, when things go awry, you fix them and grow stronger, like the phoenix. That does not come without a slew of anxiety. It is no accident the majority of us are feeling the same thing so deeply. It can manifest in our personal lives as well as on a global scale.
This, to me, brings hope that change is coming, and we are at the forefront of that change. Anxiety is a form of empathy and the world needs us to be in tune with it. I have grown up with anxiety and have been able to use it as a tool to tune in to the world and around me. That is not to say I don’t still have days when I go into that spiral – I know you know what I’m talking about.
However, I choose to see my anxiety as passion, intuition, and empathy that is lacking a deep breath and a rooted center. The world works in opposites. The amount of love you feel is the amount of loathing you can feel. The amount of happiness you can feel is the amount of sadness. I believe that the opposite of anxiety is passion. However much anxiety you feel is as much passion you can feel, and I want you to know how to get to that place. I want to know how you are able to root yourself. If you have any tips, experiences, hotlines, or anything else that can help someone when they are in that space – please share it.
I want you to be the teachers, not me. I want to learn. I want us to empower each other and hope that whoever is reading this feels a little less alone in their experience. Let us bond over healing, support, and guidance. Let us bond in knowing that we are in this together and that every person’s experience is as unique as their fingerprints.
I want to walk this path of power with you. I want to use this negative condition of anxiety as a superpower to go deeper and to create a space of healing on a universal level. I want us all to think of Joan of Arc, who was divinely guided and in the face of fear and anxiety said, “I am not afraid, I was born to do this,” and lead humanity into a more evolved state. We've got this and we've got each other. We are never alone, and it comforts me to see us gathering.
Let’s be at the forefront of this charge into evolution, and let us acknowledge every uncomfortable and downright scary emotion that comes with that. When I face anxiety, I turn to the divine. I root my feet in the ground and cry with the moon and let it empower me in my purpose. I ask for perspective to see the plan and for my guides and ancient wisdom to find and hold me. I take a deep breath and ask to see the truth – to see how I can use it as passion as I travel my path. Now I open it to you - how do you face anxiety? Comment below and let me know.
