RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We will be glad to exchange any items that you are not completely happy with. Alex and Ani will issue a credit code to be used towards a future purchase on our website for the difference. Credit codes may be redeemed at any time. No credit to credit cards will be allowed.

The item you wish to exchange MUST be returned to us within 14 days of the shipping date. You must ship your item pre-paid and insured with the package securely wrapped in original gift packaging. Returns which arrive after 14 days are subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.

Shipping and handling on all returned items is non-refundable. All sales are final after 30 days.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

Please note that all orders are processed once a day. Orders received after 9am are processed the next business day. Please allow 7-10 business days for items to be produced and shipped.

Expedited orders will be notified if we are backordered for a particular item on your order.

Alex and Ani ships via UPS, consequently we can not ship to a PO Box. Apartment numbers must be designated where applicable.

Shipping charges will be calculated at checkout.

Please be advised that UPS will make 3 delivery attempts to the "ship to address". Any cost related to changes to the "ship to" address will be the responsibility of the customer.

Retrieval of Feathers for Alex and Ani Designs

At Alex and Ani, we strive to maintain the highest level of earth-consciousness and responsibility. Because many of our designs use natural components such as feathers, we take extra care insuring these components of our designs are retrieved humanely and in a sanitary manner.

All feathers are retrieved as a by-product of the Food Industry and are procured only in the United States by the Department of Agriculture inspected Poultry Companies in the USA, with the exception of the Peacock, as these are procured by natural shedding. Since the original outbreak of the Avian Flu, the US Government has instituted strict guidelines for the distribution of all feathers. All feathers are sanitized in a heat treatment at a minimum of 248 degree Fahrenheit for at least 30 minutes. In addition to that, feathers are boiled in a heat dye solution with sanitizer for one hour.
