Charity by Design Announces Partnership with Joe Andruzzi Foundation

The power of positivity is something we all live by every day at home and especially here at Alex and Ani. When we attended the Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s Upbeat Cancer event at Gillette Stadium for the first time, we immediately saw that Joe, his family and his community lived with such a positive outlook on life and its challenges.

We have been following his story and his courageous battle with cancer since he was a player on the New England Patriots and were inspired by his youthful and energetic approach to this hurdle. We have embraced Joe’s outlook on life and also believe that positivity can be a huge part of the healing process. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation uses the same passion that Joe used on and off the field and focuses on helping families find that extra support both financially and emotionally.

Joe and his wife, Jen, shared that they could not believe how many bills came in when Joe was going through his treatment. The expense of visits, medicine and hospital stays were so high that it made them think of all of the other families presented with the same financial burden. Joe and the foundation aim to ease some of this distress, as well as offer a support system to families affected by cancer.

The Positive Is How I Live Charm — comprised of the word “Positivity” in many different languages — is the perfect fit symbolizing that positivity is universal. Charity by Design is honored to be associated with such an influential organization and we are dedicated to share and spread the Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s mission to provide help, hope and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most.

The Positive Is How I Live Bangle will be available in stores and on www.alexandani.com tomorrow, August 6th, which is fittingly the same date of Joe’s last treatment in 2007. 20% of all sales will go back to support the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
