To celebrate, we have put together a quick list of tips. These are all great ways to keep your overall health in tip-top shape!
#1:Â Find a new hobby.Â Between school, work and our busy social lives, it may be hard to make time for our own hobbies. However, it is CRUCIAL that we find and MAKE time to do things that we love! To improve our overall health in the meantime, it may be a good idea to tackle a new and active hobby. For adrenaline junkies, hiking or rock climbing may be a good idea. For those who are looking for a relaxing experience, hit up a local yoga class. Both are great for your health and will give you the â€œme timeâ€ you deserve!
#2:Â Keep active.Â Whether you join a community gym or build your own gym in the basement of your home, it is crucial to stay active. You may even decide to take a brisk walk after dinner during the week! Whatever it is that you choose to do, plan on being active for at least 30 minutes a day, 3-5 times a week.
#3:Â Eat healthier.Â Stick to a diet that is full of fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts and of course, protein. Remember though: do not deprive yourself. It is nice to indulge in a cupcake every once in a while too, ladies! A good rule of thumb: all in moderation.
#4:Â Support.Â If you are looking for ways to be active while supporting a cause, do not hesitate to look for local walk/run events or benefits. Most towns hold events like this at LEAST once a month. Go out and find a cause that you want to support, lace up those sneakers and get out there!
