For â€œOrange you Happy to Erase MSâ€ May Campaign, Alex and Ani has partnered with the Nancy Davis Foundation to help fund efforts to find a cure for multiple sclerosis and bring hope to millions of people with MS. This past weekend, Alex and Ani was delighted to attend the 19th Annual Glam Rock to Erase MS in Los Angeles, CA and have the opportunity to meet MS advocate Nancy Davis.
Yesterday, was the official launch of the Cupcake bangle to raise awareness and funds for MS, benefitting the Nancy Davis Foundation. Alex and Ani also attending the Fairfield County Women Against MS Luncheon which honored Meredith Vieira, former NBC-TV â€œTodayâ€ show host, and her husband, renowned author and journalist Richard Cohen. They attended the luncheon, serving as keynote speakers and honorees for their work in raising awareness in the fight against MS.
Richard, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1973 when he was 25, has long been an advocate for multiple sclerosis, even penning the novel, â€œBlindsidedâ€, a story about his struggles. During the luncheon, Meredith and Richard were both awarded the Georgina B. Davids award, an award presented annually to someone living with MS or to someone who has truly made a difference in the lives of others living with the disease.
It was an honor for Alex and Ani to be a part of this luncheon and the organizations that work together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis.
