This holiday season, Alex and Ani is giving back to Blessings in a Backpack!Â Blessings in a Backpack is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization currently feeding over 55,000 children in 318 schools in 37 U.S. states and three countries â€“ Canada, Columbia and Haiti. The program is a hybrid of private sector funding and public partnership carried out in public schools. They are feeding the future of America, one school at a time!
On January 8th, 2012, Alex and Ani Charity by Design will set up the Bangle Bar for the Blessings in a Backpack Charity Event! Join us as we participate in the multi-generation day out for women and girls to shop #CharmedArms, support charity, enjoy live music and launch the exclusive Cornucopia Bangle! Representing generosity and blessings, the Cornucopia is a symbol of abundance and signifies all sustainable blessings that Mother Nature provides. Join the battle against hunger and help feed the future of America, 20% of sales go directly towards Blessings in a Backpack!
Special guests of the Charity Event includeÂ Danielle North of WPRIâ€™s The Rhode Show, upcoming teen band Girls Nite Out and more! Proceeds from the event will go to feedings children who qualify for free and/or reduced meals in school during the weekends at The Highlander Chart School, Community Preparatory School and Meeting Street in Rhode Island!
