It seems like a simple thing to ask people to have hope, but sometimes we have been so disappointed so many times that hope seems foolish. The thing you must always remember is that having hope is not the same as having expectations. Expectations are specific, and often unrealistic. No one can always meet your expectations, so we try to keep them ground level so we can be pleasantly surprised. Hope, on the other hand, is nothing more than the will or desire for something, anything, to improve. We should never put a limit on hope. Hope is what pulls us up when we are down and keeps us fighting into tomorrow.
