This week, we would like to introduce you all to the lovely Emily Booth! About a year ago, Emily decided that she wanted more out of life than just the standard “American Dream.” While Emily had been to Belize, Honduras and Guatemala for vacations throughout her 20′s, she had never stayed, lived and learned the culture. She made the decision to save up money and make the move. Fearlessly, Emily packed her bags and planned to change her life!
A little over a year later, Emily has been in Utila, Honduras for 3 months and plans to make her way to Nicaragua and the rest of Central America.
Emily stays close to home by rocking her Alex and Ani bangles. Before leaving home, her Mother gave her the “It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon” bangle as a sign of encouragement and drive. As Emily says, “It’s my little reminder to take my time in life. Don’t rush, after all, ‘It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.’” Soon after, she received another bangle as a sendoff gift from her aunt: The Path of Life bangle. Emily concludes, “It represents life’s infinite number of possibilities, which really spoke to my situation. I wear both bracelets daily, even here with the humidity and salt. I love them, and even found another American girlfriend of mine who wears one as well. It’s a small world, indeed.”
We agree, Emily. Good luck on all of your adventures, wherever life shall take you! xo
